After I moved my newsletter list to Substack, it doubled overnight in early 2023—but it wasn’t because of Substack.
In this short video I share what actually grew my newsletter, how around half of my new subscribers come from outside Substack, and why I’m not interested in relying on the Substack algorithm for growth.
I still enjoy using Substack, especially for how it allows em to grow community around my newsletter. But I’m not relying on it alone for growth–that what my website, Pinterest and guest appearances do.
